Bridge Cottage, Rievaulx. Above the main door is the crest of the Orby Wombwell family (19th Century) showing that the cottage is / was part of the Orby Wombwell estate. Note the flood defence at the front door, - this area is prone to flooding when the River Rye is in spate.
