Explorer Map OL26 - North York Moors (Western Area)

A "there and back" walk, - using the beach and cliff top footpaths. The walk is very easy to follow and no map is needed.

Park at the public car park just past Cliff Hall, on the road between Marske and Redcar (NZ632 231).
Take the footpath towards Cliff Hall and near Cliff Hall take the path down to the beach.
Walk along the beach to the point where the groynes begin (NZ621 238).
Now walk up to The Stray, - a promenade along the sea front. Continue along the sea front to the Vertical Pier.
Optionally walk into Redcar's town centre and visit the High Street,
Return along the Stray, but at the point where the Stray meets the beach, take the cliff top footpath to return to your starting point.
