Lock Bridge on the Cod Beck River. In the second half of the 18th Century consstruction was started to turn the Cod Beck into a shipping canal between Thirsk and the River Swale. This involved construction of a lock at this point on the Cod Beck. However, when the project was abandoned, the stones were used to construct a footbridge instead.
