The Grey Panthers

A walk which starts with a brisk climb up to Roseberry Common (on the flank of Roseberry Topping).
From Roseberry Common follows the track though Hutton Lowcross Woods to Hutton Gate and Pinchinthorpe.
From Pinchinthorpe the walk continues Westwards along the Railway Walkway, before continuing Southwards over farmland to return to Newton under Roseberry.

Park in the visitor car park at Newton-under-Roseberry (NZ570 128). Fee applies.
Head up the lane that leads to Roseberry Toping that is immediately outside the car park.
Immediately before the boundary for National Trust land, take the track that is on your left.
The track takes you up to Roseberry Common, - the track is well- defined and easy to follow (though may be slippery in wet conditions).
Once up on Roseberry Common, take the broad track that heads North North East to Hutton Low Cross Woods.
Continue along this track to Hutton Gate.
At Hutton Gate take the farm road on your left until you come to where the farm road divides at the entrance to woodland.
Here turn right and after about 200 yards take the footpath down to the Guisborough Branch Walkway Nature Reserve.
Continue on the walkway Westwards past the Visitor Centre. At NZ55779 14713 some steps on your left take you to the field footpath to Newton under Roseberry.
Once at Snow Hall Farm, turn right once through the farmyard and continue on the road to the village of Newton under Roseberry and the car park from where you started.
