Explorer Map 299 - Ripon & Boroughbridge

A previous walk from Coxwold to Husthwaite, taken from the "Dalesman" magazine and described on this website had utilised a number of field footpaths. One of these paths had proved to be very difficult and had taken much of the enjoyment out of the walk.
The walk described here uses tracks and an old railway track footpath, with a minimal use of field footpaths.
As such, the walk was very straightforward.

A map of the route followed has been plotted on the Ordnance Survey mapping website, By selecting the ink below you will be taken to this map, - complete with distances and heights marked on the route.
