The Grey Panthers

This 20ft tall monument in Bishop Auckland Cemetery was built by Robert Watson (1819 - 1891). The monument is made of Bronze (not stone!!) and was erected BEFORE he died. Robert Watson would sit by the monument watching people's reaction to it. Read the Northern Echo article to find out more.
