The walk was originally intended to be a "figure of eight" centred on Thirsk. The outward leg was to have been to South Kilvington and back, and the second leg from Thirsk to Sowerby and back.
Due to extreme wet conditions the walk was abandoned, but will be tried again in dry weather.
