Explorer Map OL26 - North York Moors (Western Area)

The walk starts from a car parking area (Sheepwash)to the North of Osmotherley. It can be surprisingly busy parking here, as the car park is close to the Cod Beck Reservoir, - a popular recreation spot. Do not be tempted to park on adjacent grass verges, as this is a hazard to traffic and can incur fines.
Although the Cod Beck reservoir is only a short walk away from the car park, this walk uses High lane to reach the reservoir. High lane is a track that takes you up to Pamperdale Moor.

A map of the route followed has been plotted on the Ordnance Survey mapping website, By selecting the ink below you will be taken to this map, - complete with distances and heights marked on the route.
