Wolsingham is a town that is well worth spending a bit of time wandering around. Amongst the several historic houses in the town is Whitfield Cottages, formerly the Packhorse Inn, dating from 1677. There is a stone inscription to the top right of the "For Sale" sign engraved with the date MDCLXXVII.
