Outdoor Leisure Map OL26, - North York Moors (Western
Area)
This walk starts from St. Hilda's Church in Danby Dale.
From here cross the field footpath to Wandels Lane and follow the lane
until you come to the gate across the lane.
Here take the field footpath that is on your right, to cross Danby Low
Moor.
At Howe Farm take the field footpath to Longlands Lane.
Turn left and then take the field footpath to Ainthorpe. Turn right, walk
uphill a short way, then continue along the road downhill.
Head towards Danby along the road, but where the Esk Valley Walk footpath
is indicated on your right follow that to the road at Easton Lane.
Continue along the road past Kadelands House, and take the field footpath
on your left. Cross the railway line and continue to the Moors Centre.
Return from the Moors centre to Kadelands House and take the field footpath
on your left. Follow this footpath back to Ainthorpe.
In Ainthorpe, turn left and head up the hill. Take the field footpath
on your right, and then the track to Rowan Tree Farm.
Continue on the track through Rowan Tree Farm to Longlands Lane.
Turn left and follow the road back to Danby Church.
