The walk is very straightforward and you hardly need a map to follow it, - though having a map always helps.
The walk starts from the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre, crosses the A170 main road, then follows the track that runs past the North Yorkshire Gliding Club airfield.
This track overlooks the White Horse of Kilburn.
The track continues to meet the minor road that runs from Kilburn to the A170, passing the entrance to the North Yorkshire Gliding Club airfield.
After crossing the A170, take the track and footpath that returns you to the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre,
From the Visitor Centre now take the footpath (clearly marked) to "the Finest View in England".
