Explorer Map OLS26, - North York Moors (Western Area)

A walk across farmland, starting from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Nunthorpe. The outward leg of the walk is via Morton Carr farm and Eastfield Farm.
The return leg is via Snow Hall Farm.
Because the walk uses farm footpaths, a number of stiles are encountered. On the outward leg these proved to be somewhat difficult. One stile in particular, on entering Newton-under-Roseberry was especially difficult.
On the return leg the stiles are in good order and presened no difficulty.
The half-way point of the walk was at St. Oswald's Church in Newton-under-Roseberry where we stopped for a break in the Lych Gate.

A map of the route followed has been plotted on the Ordnace Survey mapping website, By selecting the ink below you will be taken to this map, - complete with distances and heights marked on the route.
