A walk that starts in saltburn and begins by walking beside the Saltburn Gill through the Saltburn Nature Reserve.
This path takes you towards Brotton and then follows a footpath to North Skelton.
From North Skelton the route returns to Saltburn via Skelton, following the Cleveland Way footpath from Skelton.
There is a fair amount of ascending and descending on the footpaths, mostly aided by steps that have been built in to the footpaths.
THese ascents and descents are the only possible difficulties on the walk.

Start from Marine Parade in saltburn (NZ665 216). THis is located near the top station for the lift that takes you up and down the cliff.
Walk down to the main car park. On the Eastern edge of this car park there is a bend in the road at NZ668 214).
On the other side of the road at this bend is an unmarked entrance to the footpath that takes you into the Saltburn Nature Reserve,
Continue ahead up this footpath to emerge at Bennison Banks.
The exit from the woodland is somewhat difficult to find, but you now need to take the footpath with woodland on your right towards Brotton.
Where the footpath meets Brotton, take the footpath to North Skelton. This crosses the Millholme Beck and the A174 dual carriageway (CARE).
Once over the dual carriageway, take the footpath up the bank to the industrial estate.
Turn left along the road through this estate. At the traffic roundabout turn left and take the footpath to North Skelton.
In North Skelton head Westwards along the road. At the bend in the road, cross over and take the track Westwards to Stanghow Road.
When you meet the road, turn right and follow the road for about 200 yards. (GREAT CARE needed).
Turn left and walk up Trout hall lane. When you meet the bridleway on your right, turn right to Skelton.
In Skelton, descend to the main street and cross over (at the lights).
Now follow the signed Cleveland Way footpath to cross the A174 road and continue via the saltburn Viaduct to saltburn itself.
