Explorer Map OL26, - North York Moors (Western
Area)
This walk starts from the picturesque village of Swainby,
and makes a circuit that takes in the village of Faceby. The return
leg passes the ruined Church of the Holy Cross in Whorlton, and Whorlton
Castle.
Choose a fine day and there are some superb views to be had.
The walking is mostly easy, although in wet conditions the footpath
between Faceby and Whorlton can be very slippery.
There are two stiles, one of which
Navigation is very straightforward, with plenty of waymarkers and
finger posts to help.
