Half way down the footpath through Hazel Grove we came across the "Footpath Closed" sign! A similar sign had been removed from the top, and part of the fence was ripped away to enable us to get by. Yes, the footpath WAS slippery and narrow in places, but clearly the locals don't like being told what to do.
