Back in Staithes the mist had cleared somewhat. The beach-goers had remained regardless of the weather. But if you look at this photo full-size (on Flickr) you will see several candidates for a Darwin Award (look it up). Couples are sitting under the cliff, leaning their backs against it. And other people can se seen walking under the cliffs in the distance.
