& Hartlepool / Durham & Sunderland
This walk starts and finishes in the Cowpen Bewley Woodland
Park. On the outward leg a quiet farm road is used to get to the village
of Greatham.
The return from Greatham uses a field footpath, firstly beside the
Greatham Creek and then beside the railway line.
The walk is very easy to navigate and there are no stiles or gradients
of any note.
At the start of the walk there is a small hill to climb in the Woodland
Park, but this is optional.
