To ascend Eston Nab one can either start out from the Flatts Lane Country Park, or from the Guisborough Walkway Visitor Centre at Pinchinthorpe.
The walk involves a stiff climb up to Eston Moor, followed by a further climb up Eston Moor to Eston Nab.
From the footpath up to Eston Moor, there are some superb views down to the Cleveland Hills and Roseberry Topping.
Up on Eston Nab, there are extensive views over industrial Teesside and beyond.
T^he descent from Eston Nab used the main track down to Flatts Lane Country Park, but turning off this track to use the Teesside Linkway.

Start from the Guisborough Forest and Walkway Visitor Centre at Pinchinthorpe (NZ58414 15265).
Follow the walkway track Westwards for 1 mile. When you come to the finger-post indicating the Tees Link footpath, turn right and head Northwards to cross the A171 main road by the Cross Keys hotel (CARE need to cross the A171).
Continue Northwards and up the hill until you come to where the Tees Link footpath heads left off the path you are on.
Just a few yards past this point, take the footpath on your right.
When you reach a broad track, turn left. Where this track divides, take the right hand fork and continue uphill to Eston Nab.
To descend from the Nab, take the broad and well-used track that descends South Westward.
About 1/4 mile past Carr's Pond (on your right) take the Tees Link footpath on your left. This footpath is not immediately obvious and needs to to watched out for.
Return via the Tees Link footpath to the path which brought you up to Eston Moor and this onwards to return you to Pinchinthorpe.
