No route directions for today's walk. We parked up near St. Hilda's Church, then walked from Fish Sands to the Headland Battery. From the Battery we followed the English Coast Path (along the promenade and on the beach) to a point near the old Steetley Magnesite Works. With poor weather (a strong Northerly wind, with rain / drizzle) we turned round and retraced our steps. We then spent an hour or so in the Museum of Hartlepool where there was a special exhibition on the Battle of Jutland. |
