The Wakenshaw Gun. Private Adam Wakenshaw, VC, was one of the crew of this anti-tank gun in an action on 27 June 1942. Even though his left arm had been blown off, he still managed to load and fire 5 more shells with the help of another badly wounded crew member. Both men were subsequently killed.
