Not far from Kildale the footpath passes this lone chimney. In the past we have assumed that this was part of a derelict brickworks. But a recently erected information board tells one that it is part of the remains of an iron ore mine (the Warren Moor Mine). To the right of this photo (out of sight) is the still open down shaft of the mine.
