        the road out of Ampleforth.
Turn left and head up Jerry Carr Bank until you reach the footpath, shown
by a finger post, that takes you over fields to Wass Grange Farm.
From here, continue South Westwards then Westwards, skirting Hessle Hill,
to a point above Low Pasture House Farm.
Now follow the footpath Northwards to Byland Abbey.
Head Southwards on the road out of Byland Abbey to find the field footpath
on your right, indicated by a finger post.
Follow this footpath Westwards to the point near Cams Head Farm where
the footpath turns Southwards, then South Westwards.

        to Coxwold.
This footpath is clearly shown by finger posts and waymarks.
In Coxwold, head Eastwards along the main street. Cross over at the cross-roads
and continue Eastwards (crossing the dismantled railway line on a bridge).

On your left is a finger post directing you to the field footpath that
takes you to the Colley Broach Road, - a farm track.
Follow the Colley Broach Road until just before Thorpe Hall a field footpath
        is indicated.
THis footpath takes you across a field to a small bridge over a stream
        at Thorpe Hall.
Follow the waymarks through the grounds of this property, and when you
emerge at the road, turn right.
After a short distance, take the field footpath to Redcar House Farm,
before returning Northwards to Ampleforth via field footpaths.
