Explorer Map OL26, - North York Moors (Western Area)
A walk that takes in two delightful and highly picturesque villages
in North Yorkshire.
The route leaving Nunnington taskes in some of the village itself,
with a field footpath to the church followed by a walk down past some
of the houses.
The route than follows the footpath beside the River Rye and onwards
to Harome.
There is a loop between Harome and a couple of farms to the North
of Harome which can be omitted in order to shorten the walk.
From Harome the walk follows field footpaths back to Nunnington.
There are no gradients at all on the walk. Navigation is very much
helped if you use a 1 : 25000 map which shows the field boundaries.

Some new mapping software is now available which you may
want to try, - QUO mapping. You can download the software for free from
the link below, complete with demonstration maps. Having installed QUO,
you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus YOU DON'T NEED Memory
Map to use any of the overlays provided on the Grey Panthers web site,
- just use QUO!!

this one).
