The first section of today's walk took us past the Bowes Museum. Here we stopped for a look at the Armillary Sphere, placed by the Friends of Bowes Museum to commemorate H M Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (1900 - 2002) who was Patron of the Museum for 40 years.
