Walking towards the old windmill and water tower that stand on top of Cleadon Hill. Cleadon Hill is about 2 miles North of Whitburn. The tower on the right is the chimney of the Cleadon Water Pumping Station, "built in neo-Italianate styler by Thomas Hawksley in 1863". The tower is visible for many miles around. |
