Leaving Ryhope we followed the old railway track bed that ran towards South Hetton. Although this is obviously a pedestrian footbridge over the railway, we weren't 100% sure that the bridge joined station platforms. However, about 200 yards away you pass the Railway Inn, which suggests that this could have been a station.
