To the West of Myton-on-Swale is the delightfully named Clott Farm. This building, "Clott House" has a Royal Crest and "GR 1927" prominently displayed above the front door. Thinking that maybe King George V had spent a night here I asked a lady what the significance of the sign was. Sadly, it meant nothing more than that the house was built in 1927 and was Crown Estate property!
