Explorer Map No OL27, - North York Moors, Eastern Area
A delightful walk between two coastal villages that are basically
connected by the Cleveland Way Footpath.
Skinningrove is an industrial village, but it has its own charms
and attractions.
Staithes is an extremely well-known beauty spot and attracts many
tourists.
The Cleveland Way Footpath follows a route along the cliff tops.
In places it runs close to the edge. In good visibility this should
be no problem, but care is always needed.
The only really steep part of this path is the section that leads
to / from the harbour in Skinningrove. This section really is
extremely steep.

Some new mapping software is now available which you
may want to try, - QUO mapping. You can download the software for
free from the link below, complete with demonstration maps. Having
installed QUO, you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus
YOU DON'T NEED Memory Map to use any of the overlays provided on the
Grey Panthers website, - just use QUO!!

Way Footpath joins the track from Hummersea Farm.
Now take the Cleveland Way Footpath into Skinningrove.
