Explorer Maps No OL31 - North Pennines, and No 305, Bishop
Auckland
A great year-round walk, in a delightful part of the country
and with no particular difficulties.
There is some uphill walking, though the gradients are quite reasonable,
and there is a section of walking across rough moorland where
the footpath is faint to non-existent. For this section of the
walk, it helps to follow a compass bearing.
After heavy rain, parts of the walk can be quite wet and muddy.
