Outdoor Leisure Maps OL26 and 27- North York Moors Eastern
and Western Areas
A delightful walk, taking in some superb views of Rosedale.
This particular walk was made when the heather was in full bloom,
and because of this was quite spectacular.
The walk is fairly straightforward with respect to navigation,
and there are no especially difficult gradients.
There is some difficulty crossing the River Seven by the stepping
stones, but not too great,
There is aso another slightly tricky section when crossing the
Tranmire Beck, when climbing up from the beck involves a bit of
a scramble.
However, choose a sunny day, and if possible in late August (for
the heather), and this is a walk that you will definitely enjoy.
