Outdoor Leisure Map OL31 - North Pennines (Teesdale and
Weardale)
A delightful walk for any time of the year.
The route is very easy to follow, and is straightforward for navigation.
There are no gradients of any note, and the only difficulty with
the route is with the Teesdale Way along the North bank of the
River Tees out of Middleton-in-Teesdale. The first section follows
a walled lane with stone paving, which can be slippery inwet weather.
The route then follows a narrow track with steep (but short) descents
and ascents along the river bank. In dry weatherthis should be
no problem, but in wet weather it was found to be a bit slippery.
All-in-all, though, a great walk through Teesdale.
