Explorer Map OL26, - North York Moors (Western Area)
A year round walk, starting in the plantation of Silton Forest
then following the Hambleton Street track (part of the Cleveland
Way), before decsending to Cowesby and Kepwick.
Navigation is very straightforward.
There is a modest ascent up to the Hambleton Street track, and
a fairly steep path down to Cowesby and Kepwick.
However, there is nothing to prevent an enjoyable day out rambling
in some superb countryside.

installed QUO, you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus
YOU DON'T NEED Memory Map to use any of the overlays provided on the
Grey Panthers website, - just use QUO!!

Head North East wards up the track which brings you out onto the Hambleton
Street (Part of the Cleveland Way footpath).
Turn right on the Hambleton Street track and follow this for the next
2 1/2 miles until you come to Steeple Cross, a small stone marker
found just before Boltby Forest.
Here take the footpath down to Cowesby, and then continue to Kepwick.
From Kepwick take field footpaths back to Moor Lane and your starting
point.
