| The War Memorial for Thornton Steward in the doorway of St. Oswald's Church. 5 names are recorded as having fallen in the First World War. Curiously, this memorial puts the dates of the war correctly at 1914 - 1919, whereas a Roll of Honour on a board inside the porch(with the same names on it) states these dates to be 1914 - 1918. | ||
