| The highest point of the walk today was Long Hill, on Stanhope Common (1680 ft). Curiously, there was no summit cairn. About the most disntinctive feature up top was this small pool. However, there were fantastic views, - you could make out Cross Fell in the South and the Cheviots in the North. | ||
