Somehow the farmer from Yafforth Grange Farm seemed to be sending out a message that walkers weren't over-welcome. This gate, on a waymarked footpath, was not only held shut by a chain and hook but also by an incredibly complex arrangement of baler twine. It took Cliff several minutes to untie the knots.
