A "four seasons" walk, starting from Kepwick
village Church Hall car park.
The walk climbs up out of Kepwick up to the Hambleton Drove Road, before
dropping down into Thorodale and Arden Hall.
The return is through Thorodale and back up to the Hambleton Drove Road,
before dropping down again to Kepwick.
There are two moderate ascents, and the ground can be very muddy underfoot.
Otherwise, the route is fine for just about any season of the year.

Start from Kepwick village Church Hall car park (SE4674890868).
Leave the village along the road to Cowesby, and take the footpath found
soon after on the left. Follow this footpath in a South Easterly direction,
climbing up to Gallows Hill.
At SE4848789955 take the footpath that heads North East to the Hambleton
Street drover's track.
Head North along the Hambleton Street, and where a track heads East
off this drover's road at SE4894291431 follow the track all the way
down into Thorodale at Arden Hall.
At Arden Hall, take the footpath initially West and then North, crossing
the beck by the footbridge at SE5183790698.
Continue North for a short while, and where a broad track is encountered
running West-East take the Westerly track.
Follow the forestry tracks West through Thorodale, eventually leaving
the woodland at SE502916.
Continue in a Westerly direction to climb out of Thorodale and eventually
rejoin the Hambleton Street road.
Take the footpath at SE4896792032 to return to Kepwick.
