Circular walk, utilising two sections
of the Nidderdale Way.
Mostly using farmland footpaths, though with some farm tracks and road
walking.
In winter time the footpaths could be a bit muddy, but otherwise there
is no significant problem.

Start Point : Car Park for Ripley village (The Castle and Museum are
major attractions).
Head North out of the village on the Nidderdale Way.
Follow the Nidderdale Way to High Clayton, Scarah Bank, and Cowgate Farm
(overlooking Shaw Mills).
Leave the Nidderdale Way at the footpath heading South-South-West at SE248624
and head for the village of Burnt Yates.
From Burnt Yates take the footpath Sout-Sout-West to Birstwith.
Here, rejoin the Nidderdale way to take you back to Ripley.
