Crackpot Hall, just before we got to Swinner Gill. This is a ruined farmhouse,
dating back about 250 years, and now being "stabilised". This spot had
been inhabited from about 1550 through to 1950. Crackpot is a Viking Term meaning
"deep hole or chasm that is a haunt of crows". (Keld and Muker were
once Viking settlements).
