A linear walk, requiring transport
between the start and finishing points.
An undemanding coastal walk, using footpaths, roadways, and cycle tracks.
Some walking along the beach.
Although this walk can be tackled at any time of the year, it would
be most enjoyable on a bright sunny day.

The start of the walk is from Seahouses Fram,
Howick. NU2588717372.
At the beginning of the access road to the farm, there is an area where
cars park in order to gain access to the beach. However, consideration
must be given to the farmer when parking.
From the above point there is a public footpath leading to the beach.
From here, take the footpath South that leads to Sugar Sands and Howdiemont
Sands.
At Howdiemont Sands, National Cycle Route No 1 takes you to the village
of Boulmer.
Continue South from Boulmer along footpaths and the beach to Alnmouth.
At Alnmouth, head up the High Street and the B1338 towards Hipsburn, crossing
the River Aln by the road bridge.
On your left as you approach Hipsburn is another section of National Cycle
Route No 1. Walk along this to avoid road traffic, continuing South.
At SU241093, a farm track takes you down to the Alnmouth Dunes.
From here, walk along the beach until you come to a caravan park. The
footpath and track here takes you past a golf course, where just before
you reach a gated exit you will see a footbridhe on the golf course.
Pass under the footbridge to reach the beach again at NU2543607302.
Walk along the beach to NU2572406571 before heading inland again on footpaths
to Warkworth.
Finish at the Castle car park, NU2469805672.
