I include this image as it comes from my father's collection of postcards, and
I personally find it rather touching. The card was addressed to my father, and
is dated 12 August 1911. It is signed "Jack", and reads...
"I hope you are having a lovely holiday. I have marked our house in the picture.
We have only to come out by the back door, down the hill & across the links
to the shore." (My father was 9 years old at the time).
The Golf Club buildings where we took shelter for our lunch 92 years later are
to be seen to the left of everything in the view above!
