| The coal drops that were used to refuel locomotive tenders. Built in 1846 and remaining in use for almost a century, at one time up to 100 locomotives a day could have their tenders filled. Coal wagons ran on top of the drops, and coal was droped by wooden chutes into the tenders. | ||
