Explorer Map OL27, - North York Moors (East Area)

This is a very "straightforward" walk, which doesn't really need any maps.
The walk starts from the car park at Egton Bridge (beside the Catholic Church). then takes the track (Barnard's Road) towards Grosmont.
In Grosmont, the Rail Trail is followed from just past the NYM Railway station to where the footbridge crosses the Murk Es.
At this point there is a footpath beside the Eller beck that takes you to Beck Hole.
The return from Beck Hole is along the Rail Trail to Grosmont.

Some new mapping software is now available which you may want to try, - QUO mapping. You can download the software for free from the link below, complete with demonstration maps. Having installed QUO, you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus YOU DON'T NEED Memory Map to use any of the overlays provided on the Grey Panthers web site, - just use QUO!!

Past the pub, there is another footpath which returns you to the Rail Trail.
