In March 2018 a lorry struck the railway bridge on the main road out of Castleton, causing massive damage, - temporarily closing the railway line as well as closing the main road out of Castleton. The bridge is currently being repaired (closing the road again). This giant flat bed truck had just delivered some construction girders and now needed to make a multi-point turn in order to make an exit.
