Explorer Map 316, - Newcastle upon Tyne

This walk is very straightforward and should present no problems with regard to navigation or gradients. Although there are two stiles to cross, this is the limit of any inaccessibility.
The first section of the walk takes one from Seaton Delaval Hall (there is a free car park adjacent to the Hall), to Seaton Sluice.
From Seaton Sluice the walk is a there-and-back to Ridley Park in Blyth. For this, you can either use the Eve Black Walkway (a surfaced pathway) or the beach.

Some new mapping software is now available which you may want to try, - QUO mapping. You can download the software for free from the link below, complete with demonstration maps. Having installed QUO, you can import and export Memory Map overlays. Thus YOU DON'T NEED Memory Map to use any of the overlays provided on the Grey Panthers web site, - just use QUO!!

At the Burn, turn left and follow the path beside the Burn to Seaton Sluice.
Cross the road bridge into Seaton Sluice.
From the village, descend to the harbour, then cross over by the footbridge.
Now head towards Blyth, initially beside the A190 but soon taking either the Eve Black Walkway or simply using the beach.
In Blyth, continue beside the main road to eventually reach Ridley Park.
Return to Seaton Sluice, where you take the footpath beside the A190 to return to the car park at Seaton Delaval Hall.
