Explorer Map 306, - Middlesbrough & Hartlepool

This walk is comprised of two sections, - each of them a circular walk starting from the centre of Hart village.
Hart village is very close to Hartlepool and the A19 main road, but the surrounding countryside is surprisingly open and agricultural.
Each section of the walk is reasonably straightforward, though close attention to the map and field patterns is essential in places.
The only areas of possible difficulty are the two descents into, and ascents out of, the Thorpe Bulmer Dene. Although the paths are well maintained, and there are wooden steps to help, sections can be fairly slippery in wet weather.
Hart village, and the parish church, are well worth a look around as part of the day out.
