| St. Oswald's Church, Thornton Steward. Believed to be the oldest church in Wensleydale. The building is Norman, built on Saxon remains. The church is located some distance from the village of Thornton Steward, - the belief being that the original viilage surrounding the church was wiped out by the plague. | ||
