The doors to Chester-le-Street's Civic Centre were finally closed in October 2013 (this view is taken through the closed front door). Chatting to a passing local resident, we were told that this was the only building in the country where you didn't need to water the indoor plants, - the condensation from the air conditioning saw to THAT!
