10.2 miles.

Outdoor Leisure Map No OL30 - Yorkshire Dales, Northern & Central Areas

A walk through absolutely stupendous scenery, though it is essential to have good visibility in order to capitalise on the views.
The walk uses well defined tracks and footpaths, and there is little difficulty in navigation.
The footpaths can be muddy in places, and there are some significant gradients involved. However, the walk should present no problems to anybody who is reasonably fit.

Start from the village of Bainbridge (SD93354 90335).
Walk along the A64 road in the direction of Aysgarth and cross the River Bain (CARE : TRAFFIC!). Just before the minor road on the right to Stalling Busk there is a footpath to Semerwater and Countersett at SD93579 89985.
Follow the footpath to the bridge at Countersett.
When you reach the bridge, turn left along the road. Just opposite Low Blean farm there is a footpath (at SD92334 87240) to Stalling Busk.
When you reach Stalling Busk, initially follow the road out of the village. However, at SD91709 85870 there is a walled lane (Bob Lane) which rises steeply to meet High Lane, a walled track. Follow High Lane, initially South but then in an Easterly direction past the field patterns of Shaw Gate.
Where High Lane meets Busk lane, - another walled track, at SD93434 83980, turn North North West into Busk Lane.
Follow Busk Lane all the way back to Bainbridge.
