| Tucked away in a corner of Mulgrave woods is the site of an ancient castle (shown on the OS map as a "Motte"). This site is now just a wooded mound, but is said to have been where a 9th Century "Motte and Bailey" castle was sited. The photo shows 4 of our group (the other being the photographer) on top of this mound. | ||
