Explorer Map No OL26, - North York Moors Western Area.
A walk that takes in the farmland South of Ingleby Greenhow,
and then ascends to Ingleby Moor for a walk that uses the Cleveland
Way to skirt round the end of the valley in which Ingleby Greenhow is
          situated.
Although the farm paths are easy to follow, and the Cleveland Way is
a well trodden path, the ascent from the valley up to moors is quite
steep. Similarly, descending back down again uses a fairly steep track.
There are no significant navigational problems, though the walker must,
          - as always, be prepared when walking in high moorland. On the daythis
walk was made we set out in sunny conditions, but up on top of the moors
the clouds came down and it proved to be very wet and windy. Without
weatherproof clothing, the walk would have been a distinctly unpleasant
          experience.

Start from the small parking space opposite St. Andrew's
Church in Ingleby Greenhow (NZ58120 06264).
Cross the nearby beck, and immediately after crossing take the stone
steps that rise up through the woodland.
At the top of the steps, take the footpath South East, skirtingthe woodland
initially, and head for Low Farm.
At Low Farm, take the minor road South East past New Sheepfold Farm.
Continue along the farm road. Where the road bends sharp left, there
is a gate which opens onto a footpath that heads uphill. The footpath
is not marked at this gate. Follow the footpath which eventually rises
quite steeply through woodland in a South Westerly direction, until
you eventually end up on top of the moors, - joining the Cleveland Way
footpath. Here turn left and continue along the Cleveland Way past Round
          Hill and Cockayne Head.
Just before the Cleveland Way reaches the Bloworth Crossing, turn sharp
left to follow the old railway track bed to the head of the Ingleby
          Incline.
From the head of the Ingleby Incline there is a short section of footpath
which takes you back to the Cleveland Way.
Continue along the Cleveland Way to Tidy Brown Hill, where the Cleveland
Way forks right. At this point, you need to continue straight ahead.
The track intialli descends quite gently, but then descends quite steeply
going all the way to Bank Foot.
From Bank Foot, take the field footpaths back to Ingleby Greenhow.
